Heights Church in Beech Island hosts the 10th Annual Clearwater Vendor Fair on Saturday, Nov. 7, with more than 50 local vendors, a free kids zone, live music and a barbecue lunch.

More than 50 local vendors will set up at Heights Church in Beech Island on Saturday, Nov. 7, for the 10th Annual Clearwater Vendor Fair, just across the Savannah River from Augusta.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 4631 Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island, S.C. Alongside the shopping there will be a free kids zone with a 60-foot inflatable, live music and a barbecue lunch for sale. There is no raffle this year.

Corrected Oct. 17: This is the 10th annual fair, not the 11th, and there is no raffle or prize drawing this year.

What’s at the fair

Courtney Freeman, who organizes the fair, said this year’s event will have more than 50 vendors, the kids zone, the barbecue lunch, live music “and more.”

A vendor’s view

Ashlee Thompson, who owns Relax & Renew Massage and Relax & Renew Fitness, has taken part in the fair and sponsored it every year. She is not one of the organizers.

“It’s honestly one of those events I look forward to, and I always encourage people to come out and experience it for themselves,” Thompson said. “It’s a great way to spend a few hours, meet wonderful people, shop local, and support the hardworking individuals in our community.”

Thompson said she would like the fair, now in its 10th year, to be better known in Aiken, North Augusta, Augusta and the surrounding communities.

“As a small business owner, I know firsthand how much these events mean to participating vendors,” she said. “For many of us, it’s not just about making sales, but also about meeting new people, building relationships, and supporting one another.”

“I think this is a wonderful community event that deserves a little extra attention, and I’d love to see even more families come out and enjoy it this year,” she said.
