Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. Augusta Mall has not posted its holiday hours yet, and the downtown holiday markets announce their dates from November. Below: what is confirmed, what last year looked like, and the city changes that affect a shopping day.

Before you go

  • Augusta Mall, 3450 Wrightsboro Road: hours page, 706-550-6657
  • Downtown shops and markets: Visit Augusta’s holiday markets roundup and Augusta and Co., 1010 Broad St., 706-724-4067

Augusta Mall

Augusta Mall at 3450 Wrightsboro Road keeps regular hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Holiday hours, including Thanksgiving and Black Friday, are posted on the same page when the mall sets them; we will add them here. Individual stores and restaurants can keep different hours, so the mall asks shoppers to check with each store.

Small Business Saturday downtown

Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28, is the day to shop the independent stores on Broad Street and in the Surrey Center. Two things to know for 2026:

  • The Augusta Market at the River ends its season the Saturday before, Nov. 21, at 8th and Reynolds streets, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free, with local farmers, makers and food vendors (The Augusta Market).
  • Augusta and Co., the visitor center and shop at 1010 Broad St., stocks Augusta-made gifts and hosts the Mistletoe Market in December.

Holiday markets: what ran in 2025

These are the markets Visit Augusta listed for the 2025 season. The 2026 dates are not out yet; we will add each one when its organizer posts it.

Market Where 2025 dates
Surrey Center Holiday Open House Surrey Center Thursday, Dec. 4, 5 to 8 p.m.
WestoBoutique (sixth annual) Westobou Gallery Dec. 5-20
Ales and Artisans Holiday Market Savannah River Brewing Company Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 p.m.
Bedford’s Holiday Market Bedford Greenhouses Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Mistletoe Market Augusta and Co., 1010 Broad St. Saturday, Dec. 13, free
Holiday Market at the Marina On the Savannah River Sundays through Dec. 21, noon to 4 p.m.

WestoBoutique sells handmade goods, art, ceramics and jewelry from local and regional makers, and a share of sales supports Westobou and the Augusta Handmade Fair. Bedford’s fills its greenhouse with artisan vendors and seasonal plants. Mistletoe Market turns the visitor center into a market for local makers and small businesses.

Parking and getting there

  • Free downtown lots. The city leases two lots for free public parking with no time limit, to support Broad Street businesses: 116 James Brown Blvd. and 865 Reynolds St. (city announcement).
  • Broad Street work. The rebuild of Broad Street between 5th and 15th streets is redesigning on-street parking; check our road construction and closures page before you go.
  • Buses. Augusta Transit runs no buses Thanksgiving Day; Black Friday is not one of its no-service holidays.

City offices and trash that weekend

Augusta city offices are closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27, under the city’s 2026 holiday schedule. Trash pickup runs a day late after Thanksgiving: Thursday routes on Black Friday and Friday routes on Saturday, Nov. 28 (holiday schedule). Boxes and packaging: Augusta’s city recycling ended in 2025, so cardboard goes to Coastal Waste and Recycling’s sign-up service or out with the trash; see our trash and recycling guide.
