CCRPI is the Georgia Department of Education’s “comprehensive school improvement, accountability, and communication platform,” according to GaDOE. The single score runs from 0 to 100 and is built from content mastery, progress, closing gaps and readiness, plus graduation rate for high schools. Georgia does not publish an A-to-F letter grade for schools in its 2025 data.
Georgia Milestones end-of-course tests, 2025, share of tested students at each of the two top levels:

For the class of 2026 it rose 9.82 points to 75.88%, the largest gain in the district, according to a Sept. 28, 2026, district release based on Georgia Department of Education data; the district rate was 84.2% and the state’s 88.5%.
Attendance zone
Zones are set by the Richmond County School System and do not follow neighborhood lines or city limits. Check any address in the district’s School Zone and Bus Stop Locator. The district does not publish a feeder list; the feeder schools below come from that locator, which we checked at about 1,200 points across Richmond County on Oct. 6, 2026. Josey’s zone draws on three middle schools: part of Richmond Hill Middle, part of W.S. Hornsby Middle and part of Langford-Tutt Middle. The elementary schools are most of Wilkinson Gardens and Wheeless Road, part of A. Dorothy Hains, and Bayvale.
Murphey Middle’s attendance zone was dissolved at the end of 2025-26, and its students now go to Hornsby, Langford-Tutt or Richmond Hill middle schools, according to the plan FAQ. The FAQ says the Josey zone itself dissolves after the 2028-29 school year, when its students would be reassigned to the Academy of Richmond County, Butler and Laney zones, and that the academy on the Josey and Murphey site is expected to open for 2029-30. On March 25, 2026, the board named it the T.W. Josey High School College and Career Academy, keeping the Eagles mascot and the school colors, according to a district release. The district’s master plan page has the hearing recordings and updates.
Sports and activities
Josey plays in Region 4-AA for 2026-27, in Class AA, according to the GHSA’s region alignments. The district’s plan FAQ says Josey athletes are meant to keep competing together during the move. Its JROTC program is Air Force JROTC, according to the district.
