State report card
Richmond Hill Middle’s 2025 CCRPI single score was 54.6, according to the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s School Grades data. The Georgia average for middle schools was 78.4 and the Richmond County School System’s was 69.6. Under the same state school code, Richmond Hill scored 48.4 in 2023 and 51.3 in 2024, when it was still a K-8 school. The full report card, with subgroups and the parts of the score, is on the state’s Richmond Hill Middle report card.
CCRPI is the Georgia Department of Education’s “comprehensive school improvement, accountability, and communication platform,” according to GaDOE. The single score runs from 0 to 100 and is built from content mastery, progress, closing gaps and readiness, plus graduation rate for high schools. Georgia does not publish an A-to-F letter grade for schools in its 2025 data.
Georgia Milestones end-of-grade tests, 2025, share of tested students at each of the two top levels:
| Subject | Proficient | Distinguished |
|---|---|---|
| English language arts | 6.9% | 0.7% |
| Math | 6.4% | 0.7% |
| Science (eighth grade) | 2.4% | 0.5% |
| Social studies (eighth grade) | 0.5% | 0.5% |
The same data put 28.4% of eighth graders (Georgia: 56.4%) reading at or above grade level.
Attendance zone
Zones are set by the Richmond County School System and do not follow neighborhood lines or city limits. Check any address in the district’s School Zone and Bus Stop Locator. The district does not publish a feeder list; the feeder schools below come from that locator, which we checked at about 1,200 points across Richmond County on Oct. 6, 2026. Four elementary schools feed Richmond Hill Middle: Richmond Hill Elementary, which covers about half of its zone, A. Dorothy Hains, Wheeless Road and part of Tobacco Road. About two-thirds of the zone goes on to Butler High and most of the rest to T.W. Josey.
Murphey Middle no longer has a zone in the district’s locator. The district’s plan FAQ says its zone was to be dissolved at the end of 2025-26, with students reassigned by address to W.S. Hornsby, Langford-Tutt and Richmond Hill middle schools. The district’s master plan page has the hearing recordings and updates.
Activities
The school’s athletics pages list football and boys and girls basketball.
