Breakfast and coffee in Augusta cluster in three places: downtown, on Broad, Reynolds and Greene streets; the Surrey Center and Walton Way corridor through Summerville; and Washington Road and the I-20 and I-520 interchange, where the breakfast chains are.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Augusta’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. We added places we found in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database for Richmond County, and kept a place with no website only where a 2026 inspection record shows it operating. Chains with many Augusta stores (Starbucks, Dunkin’ and Waffle House) get one line each; cafes inside hospitals and grocery stores are left out. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.

7 Brew is a drive-thru coffee chain. We checked its Walton Way Extension and Wrightsboro Road pages; 2026 inspection records show two more Augusta stands, at 105 Charlestowne Way and 2915 Peach Orchard Road.

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a breakfast, brunch and lunch chain. Its Augusta page lists the hours in the table and says it closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Buona Caffe roasts its own coffee and has two Augusta cafes, on Central Avenue and on Reynolds Street by the river. Its site says the roaster opened in 2010 and the first coffee shop in 2013.

Caribou Coffee on Washington Road is drive-thru and walk-up only. A second store, at 236 Bobby Jones Expressway, is marked “opening soon” on its site.

Commander Coffee is a veteran-owned specialty coffee roaster. Its site gives 1128 Jones St. as its address but no hours.

Dunkin’ has four Augusta stores with 2026 inspection records: Washington Road (with Baskin-Robbins), Peach Orchard Road, Wheeler Road and Walton Way.

First Watch serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, its page says, in a shopping center near I-20 and I-520. Guests can join the wait list online.

Lily Coffee, Tea & Bread serves Vietnamese phin coffee, boba tea and banh mi. Its second shop, on Walton Way Extension, has drink flights.

Metro Coffee House on Broad Street has no website. A Sept. 22, 2026, inspection record confirms it is operating.

Metro Diner serves breakfast all day, plus lunch and dinner, its site says.

New Moon Cafe is in downtown Augusta, open seven days a week. Its menu includes a smoked salmon bagel and from-scratch soups.

Relic Coffee Company on Monte Sano Avenue had a site that would not finish loading for us; the phone is from its Jan. 8, 2026, inspection record.

Rooted Coffeehouse says it has served coffee since 2018 and runs five cafes, two in Augusta. The downtown address is from its July 2026 inspection record.

Starbucks has about a dozen Augusta locations with 2026 inspection records, including counters inside Target and Kroger.

That Flippin’ Egg and The Brunch House of Augusta both have sites that would not load for us. Their 2026 inspection records confirm both are operating; the phones are from those records.

Trellis Coffee Bar is a specialty coffee shop on Walton Way in Summerville.

Waffle House has 12 restaurants inside Augusta with 2026 inspection records, from Washington Road and Riverwatch to Gordon Highway, Deans Bridge Road and Mike Padgett Highway.

Ziggi’s Coffee on Furys Ferry Road is a drive-thru coffee shop with breakfast and lunch items, its page says.
