Augusta’s two sit-down burger places are downtown on Broad Street. The chains cluster on Washington Road and the I-20 and I-520 interchange, on Walton Way through Summerville and the medical district, and on the south side along Peach Orchard Road, Deans Bridge Road and Wrightsboro Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Augusta’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. We added places we found in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database for Richmond County, and kept a place whose website did not load only where a 2026 inspection record shows it operating. Chains with several Augusta stores get one line each, with the store count from those 2026 records. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it.
